What to Consider for your Insight Engine Rollout: Involve the Users
This next step is often overlooked but is as critical as any. Hands-on testing with company data serves clear value but should high-level decision-makers in the C-Suite be the only ones involved?
Part four of the blog series on what to consider for your insight engine rollout will focus on this step and highlight the importance of involving the users.
If you need a refresher, you can view parts one, two, and three below:
2. Define the Success Criteria
3. Hands-on Testing with Company Data
Step Four: Involve the Users
If the POC checks all the technical boxes, you are on track and close to finding the best information insight solution to fit your company's needs. With that said, you are not home-free yet.
Nobody knows their day-to-day processes better than the employees themselves. So, if technically everything checks out and the use case identified was for sales processes, this is where the sales team comes into the picture. If the use case identified was for your finance department, enter the finance experts and so on.
The bottom line is that the department using the insight engine needs to be involved. Having the workers get their hands dirty in the system leads to valuable input on the solution and helps train the AI system. Feedback from actual users is essential to optimize the results of the insight engine and enhance the product. AI learns from active feedback, and as stated, there's no one more qualified than the everyday users themselves.
More often than not, ways to optimize will be realized, and this will yield enormous value – saving time and resources down the road.
On top of this, receiving feedback from the workforce can serve as essential to subsequent rollouts in different business units or throughout other use cases. Getting these experts involved in the testing correlates to successful implementations and deployments. Successful implementations will drive acceptance of a particular solution and keep users satisfied.
During this step of the process, the different deployment options can be considered and adapted based on specific business needs. Is it the on-prem appliance, the cloud (SaaS), or hybrid? Check out our deployment options.
Part five will cover validating the ROI calculation. In the meantime, you can contact us or check out the previous blog posts.
